All driving courses are structured to the individual customer's requirements, with weekly, or semi - intensive courses currently available. All novice drivers should be prepared for 20 to 30 hours of tuition to gain the skills needed to pass the current driving test. Learners who have driven before will be assessed to establish how competent they are behind the wheel.

Lessons are sometimes available on Sundays, please check the prices before booking, as Sundays incur a premium. You should be aware that 'ADVENTURE Driving Academy' try to accommodate pupils as and when they require, but that at certain times priority is given to those with a test coming up.   FURTHER INFORMATION >> CHOICE OF INSTRUCTORS You will be matched with an available Instructor living closest to you, but if you have a preference for a particular Instructor, Male or Female, then please let us know at the time of booking. We work together to ensure that the quality of our instruction and service remains high.   FURTHER INFORMATION >> MOCK TESTS One of your lessons at least 2 weeks before your test will be conducted as a mock test. It will be a 90 minute lesson in order for us to cover lots of different roads and situations, and conduct each manoeuvre at least once. One of our Instructors will act as the examiner, guiding you through the route to follow, unless something unexpected happens and you need help. This will help to show you what to expect on your test day, helping with nerves, but may also highlight a weak spot with your driving that has gone un-noticed. This would then give us time to eradicate any problems before the actual test day, or, if we decided you weren't ready, it then gives you time to cancel without loss of fee. This mock test is not compulsory, but merely recommended.   FURTHER INFORMATION >> THEORY TEST PREPARATION Help can be provided to get you through your Theory Test. It must be remembered that you pay the instructor for driving time in the car. ADVENTURE Driving Academy try and get all learners to do as much work on their own, but to gain our help if they are struggling. Reference material is available at discount prices, and includes books, videos, and CD Roms. Your instructor will discuss their recommendations with you on your first lesson.   FURTHER INFORMATION >> LESSON PRICES Below is a guide to lesson prices. Prices are constantly reviewed to remain competitive, and are adjusted approximately every six months. The only outside effect on these prices is the price of petrol. You may have phoned around to compare prices. 'ADVENTURE Driving Academy' merely assesses the service provided and attaches a realistic figure to it. We try to work along the lines of 'quality rather than quantity' and will ensure that we offer up to date instruction in a polite and courteous manner.   BASIC PRICES Single 60 minute lesson Most people use 1 hour lessons, and they work very well. We try to recommend 2 lessons a week, but this depends on the individual, and also availability. £22.00 90 minute lesson We recommend 90 minute lessons if you live someway out of the nearest test centre, or town. This gives you time to get to town, when ready, and spend some time on the busier routes. £31.00 Double 120 minute lesson Concentration is difficult to maintain for this length of time, but this is available and can be very beneficial. Your Instructor will advise you. £42.00 Lessons taken on Sundays will be charged at £ 36.00 per hour and are subject to availability Test Fee for the car (not the test itself) £45.00. This includes pick up 1 hour before test time for a warm up drive, the test itself, and the drive home.
